What's on in Águilas September 2025
The summer season is winding down as holidaymakers leave, children head back to school and the guided tours and cultural events resume for autumn!
As is the case elsewhere along the coastline of Murcia the summer season is definitely at an end now, but the sand and sea are still in tiptop condition and both air and water temperatures are still very pleasant: for many people this is actually the best time of year to visit as air temperatures fall from searingly hot to nicely warm!
Apart from the beaches there is, as always, plenty more to see and do in Águilas, including museums, sightseeing in the town and along the spectacular coastline, sports and musical activities and events at the majestic seafront auditorium. Plus, if you're feeling peckish, a meal at one of the many restaurants open all year round, where the local red prawns are not to be missed!
Whatever the reason for your visit, don't forget to make the tourist office your first port of call - click here for map.
For further information on these and other events, as well as places to see and visit throughout the municipality, contact the tourist office of Águilas or visit the home page of Águilas Today.
NOTE: This schedule is likely to be updated as the month progresses...

OTHER GUIDED AND NON-GUIDED TOURS
Every Saturday, visit the iconic Embarcadero del Hornillo railway loading jetty
The iconic 120-year-old railway loading jetty of the Embarcadero de Hornillo has recently been opened to visits from members of the public since early June last year. The first phase of the project to restore the jetty was completed shortly beforehand and much of its former glory (and structural stability) has been recovered.
As a result non-guided visits are now permitted, and throughout the first half of this month this month they take place at 19.00, 19.30 and 20.00.
This timetable is susceptible to modification according to demand. Registration for these free visits is currently through the Águilas tourist office (telephone 968 493285) only but it is hoped that an online facility is soon to be added.
