Zenia Boulevard turns pink for a weekend of breast cancer fundraising
Pink Ladies will join the shopping centre for live entertainment on Saturday October 17, followed by a five-kilometre charity walk the next morning

Zenia Boulevard is preparing for a pink-themed weekend on October 17 and 18, with live music, dancing and a charity walk bringing people together to support those affected by breast cancer.
The Orihuela Costa shopping centre has organised two days of activities to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the events focusing on raising awareness, encouraging prevention and supporting patients and their families.
The weekend kicks off at noon on Saturday October 17 with Pink Power, organised in collaboration with Pink Ladies, an association that supports people affected by breast cancer.
The Plaza Mayor will host a programme of live concerts, dance performances and entertainment, with activities suitable for all ages. There will also be a charity sale, with all proceeds going towards helping vulnerable families in Alicante province.
Zenia Boulevard is also making a direct contribution, donating €500 to Pink Ladies to help fund the association's ongoing support and awareness work.
Five-kilometre charity walk returns on Sunday
On Sunday October 18, attention turns to the second Marcha Con Ellas, a charity event combining exercise with support for the breast cancer cause.
Organised in collaboration with Dynamite Trainer, Mantix and the Orihuela Costa Fiestas Committee, the event starts at 9.30 am in Plaza Mayor. The main activity is a five-kilometre walk, with no shortage of other things to get involved in before and after.
Participants can also look forward to a dance masterclass, sports activities, music, entertainment and prize draws, with various local organisations lending their support.
Following its first edition, the walk returns with the intention of bringing the community together while encouraging healthier lifestyles and raising awareness of the importance of prevention.
Those taking part will receive a runner's pack containing a T-shirt, gifts and other items provided by the event's sponsors and partners.
Registration is available in person at a stand inside Zenia Boulevard. The organisers will announce the dates for collecting the packs at a later stage.
Both events give residents and visitors a chance to support a cause that affects many families, while enjoying a weekend of community activities at one of the Costa Blanca's best-known shopping destinations.
