Wonderful Candle Night event for the International Unit at Caser Residencial Málaga a huge success
The care home’s International Unit was treated to an atmospheric dinner to celebrate Candle Night
On Wednesday May 28, the residents of Caser Residencial Málaga International Unit were invited to a very special dinner to celebrate Candle Night, a traditional festival that is celebrated in several places in Spain where dozens of candles are lit up in the open-air to give a festive summer atmosphere.
For the residents at Caser Residencial Málaga, the dinner event was a chance to enjoy a typical Spanish fiesta from the comfort of the residence gardens.
The Caser Residencial International Unit is a specialist residential and care unit for the elderly in Málaga capital city which provides services directly aimed at English-speaking people who have moved to Spain from abroad and require health, fitness or other specialty care.
At the Candle Night, residents were accompanied by their family members to make the moment even more special and a chance to celebrate with loved ones.
Also in attendance were two colleagues from Caser Seguros, Mathew and Sonia, as well as Janet Legler from the British School located just opposite the Málaga care home and which maintains a strong relationship with the centre.
According to Estela Carretero from Caser Residencial, “The residents all enjoyed the event very much and there was a really great atmosphere.”
Events such as these are a regular feature of the social calendar at Caser Residencial Málaga, and ensure that not only are the residents of the International Unit fully integrated into the Spanish community, but also that they are stimulated mentally, physically and emotionally, giving an excellent quality of life at the centre.
