Until October 31 Goya, Otras Miradas, an art exhibition in San Javier
Artists from the Region of Murcia find connections between the great master and current artistic vogues
An exhibition of artwork celebrating the career of the master Francisco de Goya (1746-1828) is being held this autumn at the YTAK art gallery in San Javier, and features work by 25 artists from the Region of Murcia recreating in their own styles the works of one of Spain’s finest creative painters.
Among the artists are Antonio Martínez Mengual, Manuel Pérez López and Ramón González Palazón, who, like the others taking part, offer surprising connections between Goya and current artistic tendencies.
Sharing premises with the La Cuatro Patas restaurant, the YTAK opened in Calle Isla Graciosa (click for map) before the summer with an exhibition entitled “...de mexicanos”, and aims to become a hub of sociocultural activity in the area, according to director José Luis Gonzalo Molina Vargas.
