Until March 12 IPAR art exhibition in Alhama de Murcia
A visual trip to northern Spain at the Casa de la Cultura in Alhama
Photographer Alejandro Serrano and painter Diego Valero have compiled this exhibition entitled “Ipar” at the Casa de la Cultura in Alhama de Murcia following their trips to the north of Spain, offering members of the public a chance to take a trip to Bilbao, Donostia, Oviedo, Gijón and Sella.
The photographic display consists almost entirely of buildings and other objects which are in full view on the streets, and in fact only one image includes a human figure. The paintings, meanwhile, are inspired by the popular “Descenso del Sella” a canoeing, kayaking and rafting route in Asturias.
Unusually, Alejandro Valero takes his photos on his mobile phone, enabling him to capture special moments without losing the spontaneity of inspiration.
The exhibition can be visited until 12th March on weekdays between 9.00 and 14.00 and from 16.30 to 19.30.
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office (telephone 968 633512) or go to the home page of Alhama Today.
