Until June 30 Roma Eterna exhibition in Lorca
The exhibition at the MASS museum in Lorca traces the development of Rome into the leading world power
A special exhibition entitled “Roma Eterna” is running at the Museo del Paso Azul in Lorca until the end of June, creating a journey through time to explain how Rome developed from the legend of its foundation by Romulus and Remus to become the dominant metropolis of the western world and the source of one of the most influential civilizations in the course of history.
The journey is illustrated by recreations and dioramas which show the rich culture which flourished in Roman society, and different sections of the exhibition are devoted to the typical Roman house, the Stoic philosophers, engineering, architecture, the legions, the mysteries of Mitra and the pantheon of the gods.
Also featured is a screen presentation about engineering, architecture and the Roman legions, and for the youngsters there is even a Roman Playmobil display.
The exhibition can be visited at the Museo del Paso Azul until 30th June from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 19.30.
