Until June 28 Art exhibition by Kihong Chung in San Javier
SUM (Aliento) shows a blend of oriental and contemporary styles at the San Javier museum
Korean artist Kihong Chung, who now resides in Cartagena, is exhibiting a selection of her work under the title SUM (Aliento) at the Museo de San Javier until 28th June.
The artist’s work represents a poetic and philosophical reflection on the permanence of the invisible in reality, and fuses traditional oriental styles with a contemporary visual idiom. The images are an attempt to show that silent presences remain outside the visible world, revealing the beauty and memory which are sometimes assumed to be lost.
This exhibition is one of the cultural events being held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the museum and opens on 29th May at 20.00. Visiting times are Tuesdays to Saturdays 9.30 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 19.00.
