Until June 14 Visit the Prado Museum on the streets of Lorca!
El Prado en las Calles brings the Prado museum experience to the heart of the Region of Murcia
The itinerant exhibition El Prado en las Calles has arrived for the next few weeks in the city of Lorca, bringing with it a total of 50 large-scale high-quality reproductions of masterpieces created by Velázquez, Goya, El Bosco, Rubens and El Greco, among others.
Each image is accompanied by explanatory information panels and additional information is available through a QR code, bringing the works of art held permanently in the national El Prado museum in Madrid to life in the Region of Murcia. They can be found in Calle Corredera, close to the Plaza de la Concordia and the MASS Semana Santa embroidery museum.
As well Dutch and Spanish artists the selection also includes representatives of Flemish, German and Italian schools, and was installed in time for the celebration of Museums Day last weekend. Now it is in place until the middle of June, adding yet another item to the already long list of reasons to make a trip to Lorca!
