Until February 2 Exhibition of paintings by Martín Manuel García Santa in Yecla
Yakka Apocalipsis features fantastical images of Yecla landmarks in apocalyptic scenarios
The “Yakka Apocalipsis” exhibition is an interesting collection of paintings by prestigious artist Martín Manuel García Santa in which he intersperses still lifes among hugely eye-catching images in which well-known local landmarks such as the Basilica de la Purísima and the Old Church are seen in apocalyptic settings, engulfed by dunes and floodwater or burning to the ground in the flames of the holocaust.
The exhibition opens on Friday January 17 and runs until February 2, and can be visited at the Casa Municipal de Cultura (Calle España 37, click for map) on weekdays from 19.00 to 21.00 and at weekends from 10.30 to 13.00.
