Until April 12 Open-air photography exhibition in the centre of Cartagena
270 images by 66 photographers at 14 points in the busy streets of Cartagena
Images taken by 66 photographers have been placed on display around the centre of Cartagena, where they will remain in public view until 12th April as the annual FotoFest Cartagena exhibition decorates the old centre.
More than 270 images can be seen at 14 points around the centre, a real kaleidoscope of pictures in both colour and black and white, dealing with a huge range of subjects but sharing one common aim: to place the world of photography right in front people’s eyes and winter turns into spring in the Costa Cálida. Many of the photos are concerned with capturing the identity of local culture and identity, such as those of Manuel Carmona which show the beach of La Puntica in San Pedro del Pinatar, or Ana Romero, who focusses her lens on the Semana Santa processions of Cartagena, Yecla and even Portugal.
A catalogue of the photographers and their images can be found online here.
