The marina of Mar de Cristal
The southernmost marina on the inland side of the Mar Menor
The marina (or “puerto deportivo”) of Mar de Cristal is one of nine inside the Mar Menor, its nearest neighbours on either side in the southern part of the saltwater lagoon being those of Islas Menores to the west and La Isleta on the spit of La Manga to the east. These two marinas are 0.3 miles and 1.9 miles away respectively.
The marina consists of an exterior harbour wall and three interior jetties, and provides a total of 162 mooring berths for craft measuring up to 12 metres in length. The maximum draft permitted is just 1.8 metres, and in total the facility occupies an area of 15,000 square metres.
As well as all of the usual services there is also a large independent boat repair and maintenance company on the premises.
