Sunny skies and mild temperatures at last: Alicante weekend weather February 19-22
Bright and settled weather with a little wind and pleasant temperatures expected all weekend

Storm Pedro is making headlines as it causes disruption across northern parts of Spain but the Alicante province looks set to miss the worst of it. While the storm system brings unsettled weather elsewhere, this part of the Mediterranean coast looks set to avoid any significant impact, with sunshine and light winds forecast.
Thursday February 19

There will be plenty of sunshine but it will feel fresher than earlier in the week. Inland areas can expect some strong gusts of wind early in the day. Near the coast the wind will be gentle and conditions calm.
Friday February 20

Friday will be another bright and sunny day. Again, the day will start a bit chilly but by midday the temperatures will be mild and pleasant. Winds will be light overall, and during the afternoon a gentle sea breeze will develop along the coast.
Saturday February 21

The weather will be much the same on Saturday with bright skies and dry conditions. Some northern coastal areas may begin the morning on a cooler note, and by the middle of the day light winds will shift direction, coming from the east or south.
Sunday February 22

Sunday looks to be the best day over the weekend with clear skies and hardly any wind. Temperatures will also edge up a touch, so expect a warm and sunny day.
So, for the first time in what feels like a long time, there are no weather alerts in place for the Alicante province. Expect a nice, quiet run of weather over the weekend with sunshine, light breezes and comfortable daytime temperatures.

Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week:
- Monday February 16: Min 7ºC, Max 20ºC
- Tuesday February 17: Min 5ºC, Max 21ºC
- Wednesday February 18: Min 5ºC, Max 20ºC
- Thursday February 19: Min 9ºC, Max 23ºC
