Summer lifeguard service begins in Los Alcázares

Lookout stations are now manned at three of the main beaches of Los Alcázares

Summer has now officially started in Los Alcázares – as if you needed telling, with the weather forecast set the way it is for the first week of June! – and as a result the first of the lifeguard lookout stations are now in operation at various of the beaches.

As of 1^st June the service is up and running for the summer at the beach of Los Narejos, Playa de Las Palmeras and Playa de Manzanares, with the staff having at their disposal a rescue jet-ski and the service of an ambulance from the municipal emergency service if required.

In the meantime, an official Town Hall release reminds all members of the public to make sure they drink plenty of water, use adequate protection to avoid sunburn and always pay attention to the instructions of the lifeguards, even in the usually calm water of the Mar Menor!
