Spain weather forecast March 23-26: Bright and sunny but chilly for March
Spring is slowly settling in, bringing brighter days across much of Spain with only a few unsettled patches
Average temperatures expected on Wednesday March 25
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), high pressure is starting to take control again, helping to bring more settled conditions to most parts. That said, it’s not quite time to pack away the jackets just yet, as temperatures are still sitting around the seasonal average for March, with some cooler nights to watch out for.
Monday March 23
The week gets off to a fairly pleasant start for most of Spain, with a mix of sunshine and patchy cloud dominating the picture.
Central areas including Madrid are expected to stay dry throughout the day with some bright spells breaking through, and temperatures hovering around the mid-teens.
Further south,
Andalucía is also looking settled, with light winds and a good amount of sunshine, although it may feel slightly cooler first thing in the morning before warming up later on.
Along the Mediterranean coast, conditions should stay largely dry with sunny intervals, making for a comfortable spring day overall.
Tuesday March 24
Tuesday continues in a similar vein, with settled weather holding firm across most of the country.
Sunshine will be more widespread, particularly across eastern and southern regions, and there’s very little in the way of rain expected anywhere. In most places, it should feel like spring is properly getting going, especially in coastal areas.
Temperatures may creep up slightly compared to Monday, although still close to average for this time of year.
Wednesday March 25
By midweek, the settled pattern is still in place, bringing another largely dry and bright day across Spain.
There could be a bit more cloud bubbling up over northern and inland areas during the afternoon, but it shouldn’t amount to much more than overcast spells here and there.
Elsewhere, sunshine will continue to dominate, particularly along the Mediterranean, where conditions remain calm and pleasant.
Daytime temperatures are expected to edge up a touch, with some spots nudging closer to the high teens.
Thursday March 26
Heading into Thursday, there are signs of a slight change beginning to develop, although nothing too dramatic.
Most of the country should stay dry once again, but cloud is likely to increase in places, especially in the north and west, where a weak system may start to move in.
For the majority, it will still feel mild and settled, with sunny spells continuing, especially further south and along the east coast.
Temperatures remain steady, with cool starts and comfortable afternoons typical for late March in Spain.
