Snap a selfie at San Javier Library's Christmas Tree
The library's annual tree made from stacked books is back, along with surprise giveaways and special activities

'Tis the season to be reading, and to celebrate the library in San Javier has set up its annual Christmas tree made from stacked books. The idea is that people take a selfie with the book tree, tag @bibliotecassanjavier on social media, and you could win a surprise wrapped book. A nice touch from San Javier library.
Families can also join the children's mystery reading programme every Friday in December. Kids get to unwrap a mystery book to take home and read. This adds a nice festive feel to reading this month and encourages children to discover and enjoy new books.
The library is also running a fun campaign called 'This Christmas, talk to your in-laws about books and reading.' All three libraries in the municipality of San Javier will have small book guides with questions to get everyone talking, even the in-laws, about books during Christmas dinner.
