The future of unmanned flight at the former airport of Murcia-San Javier
Representatives of cutting-edge industry and the Spanish armed forces are holding a jointly organized event under the name of UNVEX at the former airport of Murcia-San Javier over on 16th and 17th September to showcase some of the latest development in the fields of unmanned flight, with industry contributors including Indra Group, Airbus, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía, GMV, Arquimea and MBDA.
So important is the event that among those expected to be present is the Spanish Minister for Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, along with regional government president Fernando López Miras, the Secretary of State for Defence, Amparo Valcarce, and air force general Francisco Braco.
This event comes at a time when the military role of unmanned aircraft has been placed in the spotlight by events in trouble spots such as Ukraine and Iran, and it is expected to be a combination of exhibitions, displays and networking among industry and military professionals. Two specifically themed conferences are being held concerning topics such as the threat of unmanned aircraft to critical infrastructures, the development of technology with a view to implementation in the civilian sector, the use of drones in rescue missions and public emergencies and specialized military applications.
Throughout the two days various demonstrations are being held.
Only a limited number of people will be allowed to attend and registration should completed online here. Further information is available from comunicacion@grupometalia.com.
