September 7 Classic car show in Lorca: Free to visit
Enter your classic vehicle for just €10, or go along to see the classic cars for free!
This Sunday September 7, the IFELOR trades fair venue in Lorca will be holding the Lorca Classic Car Rally and the 4th annual AutoRetro Show, coinciding with the Lorca Fair.The event will take place from 9am to 8pm at the IFELOR Exhibition and Congress Centre, and this year will feature a large number of new additions and activities for all audiences, with the large exhibition of classic vehicles as the central focus, according to the Councillor for Festivals.
The day’s activity includes:
- Meeting area with space for up to 300 vehicles
- Lunch and air-conditioned beach bar open all day
- Exhibitions featuring unique vehicles and private collections
- Sale of spare parts, antiques and miniatures
- RC Drift and Slot track
- Children’s area with mat and monitor
- Live broadcast on MCI2 Radio and Garaje 77, with a special programme and interviews
- Pop-rock concert by Humareda Cover Band
At midday, there will be a dish of rice and grilled food served in the pavilion next to the stage, followed by the presentation of trophies and awards and a prize draw for those registered.The trophies include such varied prizes as: Largest club, Vehicle that has travelled the furthest, Oldest motorbike and Most disastrous vehicle, among other fun and original titles.
Registration for anyone who wants to enter their vehicle to be exhibited must be done in advance via the website www.vehiculosclasicoslorca.com and will cost €10, payable on the day of the event. Vehicles will be allowed to enter between 9am and 12pm (depending on capacity, with a maximum of 300 vehicles over 27 years old).
Admission for all visitors without a vehicle will be free.
