September 6 and 7 Two-day walk around the Mar Menor

Explore the glorious Mar Menor on foot this coming September

Here's a chance to find out for yourself just how big the largest saltwater laggon in Europe really is, with a two-day hiker around the Mar Menor giving you a chance to take in all of the breathtaking landscapes on the way as you trek the paths from sunrise to sunset!

Registration is now open at a cost of only 30 euros per person, which includes a delicious evening barbecue at the sports pavilion at kilometre 12 of La Manga. Further information can be found via the QR code on the poster featured above or b y telephone on 678 934793.

The first stage is the longer of the two, covering a distance of 40 kilometres between the sculpture of the Pilgrim (Peregrino) on the Paseo Colón in Santiago de la Ribera and starting bright and early at 8.00, while the return to the starting point is planned for around 14.00 after a mere 20 kilometres on the Sunday morning.

Stops along the way include the usual ones (this is the 23rd edition of the event) in Los Alcázares, Punta Brava and Mar de Cristal on Saturday, and the beach of La Llana and Lo Pagán on Sunday.
