September 28 Free concert by Vanesa Muela and Rodrigo Jarabo in Barranda
Melodic renditions of traditional songs at the Ethnic Music Museum in Barranda
The 2025 “Conciertos Sentidos” series of free musical events at the Museum of Ethnic Music in the Caravaca village of Barranda continues on Sunday 28th September with a performance by Vanesa Muela and Rodrigo Jarabo from Valladolid in the region of Castilla y León.
This duo are known for the evocative sound, their infectious rhythm and their catchy lyrics and tunes, skills they have honed in over 30 years of performing together and bringing to life traditional songs which were known and loved by past generations. They favour old stringed instruments and, for percussion, simple forms of drum and even kitchen implements!
The concert at the Museo de la Música Étnica-Fundación Carlos Blanco Fadol begins at 12.30 and is entirely free of charge, but prior booking may be advisable: contact the museum directly (telephone 968 738491, email contacto@museomusicabarranda.com).
