September 20 Classic vehicle rally in Alhama de Murcia

This popular event is being held in Alhama for the 16^th time

Over the last 16 years the annual classic car and motor vehicle rally has become a popular family event in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, and this year it is being held on Saturday September 20 at the fairground in the Nueva Espuña district of the town.

The fun and entertainment start at 16.30 with all the family welcome to come along and enjoy races, games, live music and even a museum-style exhibit of old vehicles of various kinds. The registration price of 5 euros is to raise funds for the Asociación del Síndrome 22q Levante charity and those wishing to bring their vehicle can contact the organizers on 657 858800 or 619 887411.

Live music will be accopmanying the event throughout the afternoon and a prize draw is held as evening falls. In addition, a trial bike display is taking place with participants including Álvaro Micol, the regional junior champion and Spanish nº 7 in the "cadete" age group. 

At 19.00 Favid García Cánovas, recently named the youngest professional ham slicer in Spain, will be showing off his talents with the inevitable tasty results!
