San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
September 19 to 28 Tapas and cocktail route in Los Alcázares
A feast of delicious bar snacks and cocktails on the shore of the Mar Menor!
The annual tapas and cocktail route of Los Alcázares is being held this year from 19th to 28th September, with 29 bars and restaurants taking part and competing to provide the most popular bar snacks among customers.
The establishments participating are El Barco de Papel, La Encarnación, Sta. Teresa 61, La Gonga, ComoLoco Gastrobar, El Chato, La Casa de Papel, Casa India, La Ola Bar, El Rincón de Cristina, Bar El Chispazo, Cafetería Sin Nombre, Monty´s Beach Bar, Restaurante El Cortez, Cafetería J. Navarro, Balneario San Antonio, Café-Bar Las Claras, Alaska Bar, Mesón Las Palmeras, Mr. Taco, Esquina Italiana, La Colicha Coffee Bar, Atrio del Mar Chiringuito, Rose’s Pizza, Marylimón, Punto & Coma, Freiduría Don Pepe, Khataris and Drums café.
The price of a tapa and a drink is between 3.50 and 6.50 euros (4 and 8 euros for cocktails), and each restaurant and bar will be offering their speciality during their normal opening hours. Collect your route map from any of the establishments and make sure it is stamped every time you try a new dish – those collecting 15 or more stamps can enter a prize draw to win a trip for two to an unrevealed destination within Spain, with secondary prizes such as free dinners and gift hampers.
