September 19 Mojácar's magical Night of the Candles returns
Thousands of candles will transform the streets and squares of Mojácar for one magical evening
Mojácar Pueblo will take on a magical glow on Saturday September 19 when its famous Noche de las Velas, or Night of the Candles, returns.
As darkness falls, the streetlights in the historic old town will be switched off and thousands of candles will illuminate the narrow streets and squares, creating a wonderfully atmospheric setting.
The evening will also feature acoustic concerts, a batucada parade and stargazing, with the candlelight expected to take over from around 8.30pm or 9pm. The event runs until approximately 11.30pm.
It’s a lovely opportunity to see one of Andalucia's most beautiful hilltop towns looking completely different after dark.
