Revving up for Christmas! Santas on bikes help those in need
The annual Papanoelada Motera returns to Los Alcázares, collecting food donations for local families

The annual Papanoelada Motera (Motorbike Santa Run) returned to Los Alcázares on December 13. Despite the threat of rain dozens of bikers took to the streets of Los Alcázares dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus, and even the Grinch took part!

The event is organised by Levante Riders and is part of Los Alcázares’ Christmas programme. The bikers met at Plaza Manuel Floreal Menárguez and followed a route through the town, with prizes for the best-dressed Santas and most decorated bikes.

This annual Christmas event is about more than just having fun. Everyone who took part brought non-perishable food for the local Food Bank, helping families in need this Christmas. Thanks to everyone taking part, the event was another successful year for donations.

The Papanoelada has become a much-loved part of the Christmas calendar in Los Alcázares, even in wet and windy conditions. This event is part of several that take place all over Spain. It’s such a lovely way to get everyone involved, do something for a good cause and spread a bit of Christmas cheer at the same time.
