San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc

Include all relevant points, including:

Who is the organisation running the event?

Where is it happening?

When?

How much does it cost?

Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

Police and Guardia Civil contact details in LorcaThe main Guardia Civil headquarters in Lorca are located at Carretera de Granada 12 (telephone 968 478972, emergencies 062).

There is also a Policía Nacional headquarters at Calle Lope Gisbert nº 29 in the city centre (telephone 968 477500 / 968 355 514, emergencies 091), while the local police force (Policía Local) have stations in many locations in the city, but are based in the Plaza de la Policía Nacional next to Ronda Sur (telephone 968 443 392, emergencies 092, fax 968 443398).

The all-purpose emergency services coordination line for the whole of Spain is 112.
