Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

Group bookings for anywhere from 2 to 30 people!
As well as the wide range of scheduled visits and tours of the main sites of interest in Lorca there is also the option of contracting your own private tour, with group sizes ranging from just a couple to 30 people, making it an ideal way to organize a day out four social groups!
These tours are held in Spanish so either make sure your linguistic skills are up to it or nominate one of your group as a translator – it’s your tour, and the pace of the visit depends entirely on your preferences.
The choose from the myriad of possible visits in the historic city centre, bearing in mind that all visits start at the Visitors Centre at the old Convento de la Merced. Your chosen destinations might include the remarkable embroidery museums, in which some of the spectacular accoutrements worn during the Semana Santa processions can be seen, the fascinating archaeological museum, the historic buildings of the Plaza Mayor (including the former Collegiate Church of San Patricio), the main streets of Calle Corredera and Calle Lope Gisbert, the magnificent Palacio de Guevara, the Casino and the Teatro Guerra.
Tours last a minimum of two hours and can begin at whatever time your prefer, with prices as follows:
2 people: 130€
Up to 4 people: 150€
Up to 6 people: 170€
Up to 10 people: 200€
Up to 15 people: 220€
Up to 24 people: 240€
Up to 30 people: 300€
