Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

October 31 to November 22 Halloween and zombie events in Jumilla
Escape Rooms, horror films and a Viral Zombie event in Jumilla
Nowadays it seems practically obligatory to celebrate Halloween with special events in Spain, and the town of Jumilla in the north of the Region of Murcia is no exception, with a series of events taking place over the weekend of the big night prior to a Viral Zombie event on 22nd November.
The schedule designed by the Youth Department of the Town Hall is as follows:
Friday October 31
- Cinema in the Conservatorio de Música, with the screening of two films: Hotel Transylvania (for all the family) at 20.00 and Horror Park (suitable for adults) at 22.00.
- An Escape Room in the universe of Saw including a makeup workshop for 12- to 16-year-olds (venue Plaza de la Alcoholera).
Sunday November 2
La Mujer del Tiempo, another Escape Room at the new Local Joven (Calle Cura Abellán, 3), designed for groups who travel through time discovering the achievements of famous women through the ages.
November 9, 16 and 23
Cooking workshops in La Alquería, overseen by Galletas Cerbi and appropriate for those aged 16 to 30. Prior registration is necessary.
Saturday November 22
One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the month: Viral Zombie, an immersive experience lasting from 23.00 until 4.00 in the morning. This is the only activity which involves a registration cost, which can be paid online or at the Kiosko of La Paraeta.
