San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

October 31 Albert Camus' view of the absurd in The Misunderstanding in Águilas
El Malentendido at the seafront auditorium in Águilas
This year’s Paco Rabal Amateur Dramatics Festival in Águilas, named after one of the town’s most famous and best-loved sons, continues on Saturday 31st October with a performance of the musical biography El Malentendido, performed by the Foromutis Teatro company from La Nucia in the province of Alicante and directed by Sergio Sempere.
The play is called Le Malentendu (The Misunderstanding) and is a 1943 drama writyen in occupied France by Albert Camus and illustrating his own bleak view of the Absurd.
The performance at the Auditiorio Infanta Doña Elena begins at 20.30 with tickets priced at 10 euros and available online here or direct from the Museo Arqueológico and the Casa de la Cultura. Season tickets for all five productions featured in the festival can be purchased for 40 euros (online here). Tickets can also be purchase in person at the archaeological museum, the Casa de la Cultura and at the box office of the auditorium one hour before the curtain rises.
