October 3 Guided tour IN ENGLISH of the old centre of Alhama de Murcia
An English-speaking guide leads the route through Alhama de Murcia
The tourist office in Alhama de Murcia is holding a guided walking tour of the town centre in English for the benefit of both residents and visitors at 10.00 on Saturday October 3, starting outside the tourist office (these tours normally begin at the Los Baños archaeological museum, but unfortunately it is currently closed for maintenance and upgrading work).
The route includes several culturally and historically important sites and buildings in Alhama, such as the church of San Lázaro, the Plaza Vieja, El Pósito, the Casa de la Tercia, the Jardín de los Mártires and the Casa Consistorial, but the only admission included is to the church (unless a resligious service is in progress at the time).
An official guide will conduct the 80-minute tour in English and tickets cost just three euros for adults and two euros for children up to 12 years old. Payment should be made at the tourist office when the tour party convenes.
Registration is at the tourist office (Plaza de la Constitución, 10, telephone 968 633512, email turismo@alhamademurcia.es) or online here.
NOTE: The tourist office can also organize other group tours in English on different dates if required: contact them to enquire!
