October 26 Free concert by Xuxurlaka in Barranda
Celtic music from the Basque country at the Ethnic Music Museum in Barranda
The 2025 “Conciertos Sentidos” series of free musical events at the Museum of Ethnic Music in the Caravaca village of Barranda continues on Sunday 26th October with a performance by Xuxurlaka from the Basque Country.
Xuxurlaka hail from the city of Vitoria in the Basque Country, and bring to Barranda the Irish Celtic traditional music which reached the north of Spain over 1,000 years ago and is performed on a host of magical instruments. Of course, traditional Basque favourites are also in their repertoire as they take us on a voyage through the music of their home region, Galicia, Scotland and Castilla.
The concert at the Museo de la Música Étnica-Fundación Carlos Blanco Fadol begins at 12.30 and is entirely free of charge, but prior booking may be advisable: contact the museum directly (telephone 968 738491, email contacto@museomusicabarranda.com).
