October 26 Caravaca Experience trail running in the mountainous countryside of north-west Murcia
4 races of different lengths to test competitors of all levels and ages
This year’s Caravaca Experience trail running event takes place on Sunday October 26, with a fourth competition added to the menu as events of this kind continue to grow in popularity in the north-west of Murcia.
The Mini Experience is designed for youngsters who are just starting out in mountain running and covers a distance of 4 kilometres, while the 12-km Promo event is perfect for adults who are also far from professional!
The new addition to the Experience this year is the Medium event, over a distance of 18 kilometres, while the most demanding remains the 24-km Extreme challenge, including 1,300 metres of climb and descent.
There are 6 refreshment points along the route, as this is a truly testing run!
Although most of the run is out in the open countryside, the races start and finish in La Glorieta, in the Plaza del Templete, and the longer-distance runners pass attractions such as the Camino del Huerto, Las Fuentes del Marqués, the Barranco del Agua, the castle hill, the forest track leading to the observatory, Peña Rubia, El Pico del Buitre and the “Cuesta de los Montadores”.
Registration is now open online here at prices ranging from 12 to 27 euros.
