Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

October 24 and 25 Gastropilar gastro festival in Pilar de la Horadada
Tuna, octopus, craft beers and numerous show cooking events in the south of the Costa Blanca this weekend!
The second Gastropilar food and cuisine festival is being held on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th October in the central Plaza de la Iglesia in Pilar de la Horadada, with a wide range of tastings, show cooking events and of course plenty of ideas for your own culinary adventures!
The schedule for the weekend includes the following:
Friday September 24
17.30: Children’s pastry workshop given by the Panadería JoseAntonio (maximum 50 people).
18.30: The official opening ceremony of Gastropilar 2025.
19.30: Showcooking with Bocarriba Cocina.
20.30: Octopus and other delights of the sea with A Pulpo.
21.30: Live music from Marlene with a tribute to the best of Indie.
Saturday October 25
11.00: Live display of bluefin tuna cutting offered by the Ricardo Fuentes company.
12.30: Craft beers and smoked food products with Felizorro.
14.00: Taste the famous fish stew of “marmitako”, affordable portions, courtesy of Tato Catering.
15.00: DJ music.
17.30: Café asiático, the iconic liqueur and coffee mix typical of Cartagena, with José Díaz.
19.00: Show cooking with La Granja Restaurante.
20.30: Cocktails with Mai Briza.
22.00: Live music from Adrián Ruíz.
