

Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
October 18 A demanding 43-kilometre hike from Yecla to Monte Arabí
The route through the municipality of Yecla is expected to take around 12 and a half hours!
Lovers of distance walking are welcome to take part in the 34th annual hike from the village of Raspay to the mystical mountain of Monte Arabí on 18th October, with the 43-kilometre route is expected to take the small matter of 12 and a half hours!
The meeting point is the old railway station on the eastern edge of Yecla at the not so bright early hour of 7.00, and all walkers should bring their own rucksack containing breakfast and lunch, drinking water and a head lamp or torch. Although it is obviously a long walk, it is categorized as being of only medium difficulty.
Coach transport is available for the journey to the starting point in Raspay for a maximum of 55 people, although will choose to make their way in their own cars.
Registration is available online here until 14th October at between 10 and 16 euros (20 to 26 euros with coach transport).
