October 12 Tragacuestas Trail charity mountain run in Caravaca de la Cruz
From a 6-km walk to a 24-km mountain run, a chance to donate to a worthy charity in north-west Murcia
A new sporting event is being added to the already busy calendar in Caravaca de la Cruz on Sunday 12th October, when the Club Tragacuestas Trail holds “La Tragacuestas” to raise funds for the Fundación UAPO, which advocates the creation of a cancer patient support centre in the municipality.
There are four levels of run in which athletes can take part: a 24-km trail run, a 14-km trail run, a non-competitive 14-km run and a 6-km hiking route. Registration costs between 20 and 27 euros and is available online here (needless to say, the proceeds go to charity).
The start and finish line is in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz and all the routes follow mountain paths through the woods in the surrounding hills and mountains.
