November 8 La Peregrina mountain bike event in Caravaca de la Cruz
All age groups and categories are catered for in this great ride through the mountains and countryside of Caravaca
The success of the “La Peregrina” mountain bike event in Caravaca last year, when it was held for the first time as part of the Holy Jubilee Year celebrations, has led to a second edition being organized for 8th November, providing a great day of cycling in the mountains and huge swathes of countryside in the municipality.
The main 50.5-km route of this year’s ride begins and ends in Caravaca itself and also takes in part of the neighbouring municipality of Moratalla, including 1,500 metres of climbing and descent. A slightly shorter route of 36.5 km is also available and all categories and age groups are provided for.
Registration is now open online here, with a base price of 29 euros (including refreshments, showers, medical support and insurance) and each fee paid includes a donation to the UAPO campaign to create a Support Unit for Cancer Patients.
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the local tourist office (telephone 968 702424, see below) or go to the home page of Caravaca Today.
