November 7 Guided tour in Spanish of the town centre of Alhama de Murcia
Learn about the history and sights of Alhama on this easy-paced walking tour
Enjoy this walking tour of the old town of Alhama de Murcia while learning (in Spanish) about the history of its most interesting sites and monumental buildings. The visit does not include the climb up to the castle of Alhama and is therefore appropriate for those without severely limited mobility.
The route takes participants to several culturally and historically important sites and buildings in Alhama, such as the church of San Lázaro, Plaza Vieja, El Pósito, Casa de la Tercia, the Jardín de los Mártires and the Casa Consistorial, begining at the tourist office in the town centre.
The cost of joining the 90-minute tour, which starts at 11.30, is just 3 euros for adults and 2 euros for under-12s. Prior booking is required through the tourist office (968 633512) or online here. Payment should me made at the start of the walk, preferibly by bank card.
NOTE: This tour is also being held in English on the same day at 10.00.
Group bookings for tours can also be made on dates apart from those on which these regular events are scheduled, in either Spanish or English.
For more local events, news and visiting information go to the home page of Alhama Today.
