November 4 to December 3 Exhibition of the life of trees in Alhama de Murcia
Alhama welcomes "Arbóreo: los árboles nos cuentan su vida" at the Casa de la Cultura
As part of the “Noviembre en Verde” season of events and educational talks in Alhama this exhibition is being held throughout the month at the Casa de la Cultura, showing clearly through samples from tree trunks, wood and fossils as well as other illustrations how the remains of woody plants can reveal information about the climatic conditions in which they grew.
Information panels explain how to interpret the information we can see, and how the plants come to reflect periods of heat, cold, drought and high precipitation.
The exhibition can be visited in normal opening hours at the Casa de la Cultura: weekdays 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.30 to 19.00.
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office (telephone 968 633512) or go to the home page of Alhama Today.
