The feast day of Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music (as well as poetry and the blind) falls on November 22, and as usual there is plenty of music in Alhama de Murcia to celebrate the occasion.
One of the main events is this concert by the music school and cultural society named after "Maestro José Antonio Ayala" at the Teatro Cine Velasco on November 23, which begins at 20.00 with admission free of charge.
