San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
November 21 Screening of Double Indemnity in original language version in Los Alcázares

The “Cineforum” series of four screenings of classic movies in the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall of Los Alcázares, all of them in original language version, continues on Friday 21st November at 18.30 with Double Indemnity, starring Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, Edward G. Robinson, Porter Hall, Jean Heather, Tom Powers, Byron Barr and Richard Gaines.
Directed by Billy Wilder, the “film noir” was released in 1944 with screenplay by Wilder himself and the great Raymond Chandler, the film was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and has since been recognized as setting the standard for the genre as well as being one of the greatest movies of all time.
This screening in Los Alcázares is organized by the Asociación Los Alcázaers Eco Cultural - LAEC and is followed by a short talk by cinema experts José María and Pencho.
