November 2025 historical gymkhana for young teenagers at Lorca castle
Teams of between 6 and 10 children compete for prizes at the Fortress of the Sun
The Town Hall of Lorca is holding a series of gymkhana events at the castle above the city during November, free of charge, between 16.00 and 19.00 with prizes up for grabs for the w inning teams in each event.
The “En Busca de la Espada” activity is designed for 12- to 16-year-olds and takes place on November 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, with registration available online here. Each team should consist of between 6 and 10 members as this is an activity promoting the ideal of working in groups as well as managing individual achievements.
The gymkhana starts at the visitors centre in the former Convent of La Merced, from where a tourist train takes them up to the castle (and bringing them down at 19.00).
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office in the Plaza de España (telephone 968 441914) go to the home page of Lorca Today.
