November 16 Fundraising 10-km run for animal welfare charity in Caravaca

This year’s event is being held in tribute to local canine athlete Copy, who passed away recently

The second annual 10-km run to raise funds for local animal welfare charity APCOM is taking place in Caravaca de la Cruz on 16^th November, with lesser distances available for children and 5-km jogs and walks taking place on the same day.

The start and finish line are in the Parque García Esteller and the route is entirely within the built-up area of Caravaca, making it relatively flat. Prizes are available for the leading local runners.

This year’s event is being held as a tribute to Copy, the mascot of the local club “Las cabras tiran al monte”, who died recently at the age of 14 after accompanying members of the club on countless hikes and training sessions.
