November 15 Martirio Alba in Jumilla
Insights into despair at the Teatro Vico in Jumilla
Martirio Alba is one of many works derived from the widely admired play by Federico García Lorca, “La Casa de Bernarda Alba”, and follows the plot a few months after the suicide of Adela in the work of Lorca. Dramatist and director Quino Tomás Pérez presents an insight into the psychological torture undergone by Martirio after her sister’s death and during the Spanish Civil War, drawing on drama, poetry and dance to express feelings of despair.
The performance at the Teatro Vico on 15th November begins at 21.00 with tickets priced at just 4 and 6 euros and available online here.
