Murcia's streets turn to Istanbul for Hollywood's new blockbuster
A major Taylor Sheridan film will shoot in Murcia, bringing excitement and economic benefits to the city
Murcia is about to become a movie set as filming begins for “FAST,” a new thriller written by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The production will transform parts of the city centre into scenes from Istanbul, giving residents a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a major film shoot. This project, scheduled for Hollywood release on April 23, 2027, is seen as a milestone that will put Murcia on the map for international film productions.
Leading actor Brandon Sklenar and director Ben Richardson, who is making his first feature film, will be working on-site. The Murcia Region Film Commission and the City Film Office have played a crucial role in attracting the project. Their combined efforts have made Murcia a popular choice for major international productions, offering support services, permits, and logistical help to streamline filming. The film will also make use of the Murcia Audiovisual Hub, which provides essential studio facilities.
