Murcia weather forecast Sept 21-24: 34°C heat and plenty of sunshine on the way
Sunny skies and temperatures above 30°C are forecast across much of the Region all week
The Region of Murcia is set for several more days of summer-like weather despite autumn officially arriving this week, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing above 30°C in many areas.
The biggest difference will be between the warmer inland areas and the slightly cooler Costa Cálida, although coastal towns including Cartagena, Los Alcázares and La Manga del Mar Menor will still enjoy plenty of warmth.
Monday September 21
The week starts with sunny spells and generally settled conditions across the Region. Murcia city and surrounding inland areas could reach around 30°C, while the coast will be a little cooler.
Los Alcázares, San Javier and La Manga should see a mixture of sunshine and some cloud, with temperatures in the high 20s. Águilas and Mazarrón will also stay warm, with some coastal breezes.
Tuesday September 22
Temperatures rise on Tuesday, particularly inland, with Murcia city and surrounding areas reaching around 33°C to 34°C under long sunny spells.
The Costa Cálida will remain slightly cooler but still comfortably warm, with highs around 27°C to 29°C expected in Cartagena, Los Alcázares and La Manga.
It should be another dry day across the Region.
Wednesday September 23
Sunshine dominates on Wednesday, with very little rain expected anywhere in Murcia. Inland areas will once again be hot, with temperatures around 32°C possible in Murcia city.
Along the coast, Cartagena, Mazarrón, San Javier and La Manga del Mar Menor should see plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the high 20s.
Águilas is also expected to remain warm and dry.
Thursday September 24
Another warm and mostly sunny day is forecast as the working week draws to a close. Murcia city could reach around 33°C, while temperatures around the Mar Menor and Cartagena coast will be closer to the upper 20s.
Mazarrón and Águilas should also enjoy bright conditions, with only limited cloud and little or no rain expected.

- Wednesday September 23: Min 13ºC; Max 32ºC
