Murcia Airport flight destinations winter 2025-26: Corvera routes you can fly this year
The autumn-winter schedule brings 11 destinations to Murcia Airport, including new routes to Tenerife, Bristol and Nador
As the summer season draws to a close, the
Region of Murcia International Airport (affectionately known as Corvera Airport to those who use it regularly) is turning its attention to the autumn and winter months, which is always a quieter time of year for the terminal.
The new schedule, which runs from Sunday October 26, 2025 until the end of March 2026, strengthens the airport’s offering
compared to last year with the addition of three new routes, bringing the total to 11 destinations.
Among the main new additions is Tenerife North, operated by Spanish airline Binter. This route, which began last April for the high season, will now continue year-round with four weekly flights, further reinforcing connections between Murcia and the Canary Islands.
Binter has operated flights between Murcia and Gran Canaria since 2020, and the inclusion of Tenerife North enhances the Region’s access to these popular holiday islands.
In addition, the route to Barcelona has been boosted with an extra flight each week. However, the Madrid route operated by Volotea has been discontinued following the expiry of the regional subsidy. Volotea, which is led by Murcian entrepreneur Carlos Muñoz, has already confirmed plans to introduce new flights to
France for the summer 2026 season.
Strong UK and Ireland connections with Ryanair and easyJet
Of course, the United Kingdom remains Murcia Airport’s strongest market, accounting for more than half of all connections, followed by Ireland.
This winter, passengers can fly to Dublin, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and London via its three major airports – Gatwick, Luton and Stansted.
Ryanair continues to dominate operations at Corvera, maintaining its full schedule in the region despite having reduced capacity at several Spanish airports amid an ongoing dispute with Aena.
Ryanair currently operates flights to Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted, and in fact it will be increasing the number of weekly Dublin and Birmingham flights to four per week, bringing it in line with the number of weekly Stansted and Manchester flights.
EasyJet, meanwhile, will be covering the other UK routes, including Bristol, London Gatwick and London Luton.
Brand-new international connection
In addition to the British and Irish connections, Air Arabia will continue to provide links to North Africa with its route to Nador, Morocco, replacing last year’s destinations of Oujda and Marrakesh.
Passenger growth and operations
From January to September 2025, Corvera airport handled 767,115 passengers, representing a 2.3% increase over the same period in 2024. International travel rose by 4.5%, while total flight movements reached 5,910, marking a 5.4% rise year-on-year.
It’s growth, albeit small – much smaller than the growth seen at, say,
Alicante Airport – but it’s still a step in the right direction for Corvera, which has been busy overhauling the
toilets,
duty free area and
departures lounge this year, in an attempt to attract more passengers and flights and improve the travel experience.
