More rain forecast for the entire week: Murcia weather forecast December 15-18
Stay safe out there and don’t travel on the roads when there are weather alerts active unless absolutely unavoidable
Murcia weather forecast, Monday December 15
There were dramatic last-minute warnings of heavy rain issued by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) all this Sunday and for Monday morning thanks to Storm Emilia, which left several roads impassable due to flooding, especially in the north and west of the Region.
Now, the rest of this week in the Region of Murcia looks set to continue a similar pattern of rain and thunderstorms, if on a slightly less dramatic scale. Temperatures, especially those during the day, will get colder over the course of the week, and as of yet there looks to be little let-up in the wet weather even going into next weekend.
Monday December 15
Murcia weather warnings, Monday December 15Up until 12pm this Monday, there are yellow-level “low hazard” warnings in place for storms across every part of the Region of Murcia, as well as yellow warnings for heavy rainfall in the northeast, centre and Mar Menor areas, while the rainfall warnings were orange for the southwest and northwest of the Region.
While all those alerts are deactivated for the rest of the day from midday onwards, it will still be a bit drizzly, and some lingering pools of deep water may still present dangers, for example on the roads.
Tuesday December 16
Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday December 16For Tuesday 16, no weather warnings have currently been issued, although Aemet is predicting rain and thunderstorms pretty much all day, and in every single part of the Region. Not a day to go out.
Wednesday December 17
Murcia weather forecast, Wednesday December 17This forecast of rain continues for a good 48 hours solid, right the way through Wednesday, too, although it is predicted to lose steam as the day goes on. It will be rainy, but not so stormy, petering out to a drizzle by Wednesday evening.
Over the course of these three days, maximum temperatures are expected to dip by a good two degrees, while minimums stay fairly stable. Mercifully, windspeeds are not expected to be overly strong.
Thursday December 18
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday December 18In comparison, Thursday 18 should be nice and bright, with only some occasional cloud cover and light rain forecast. Maximum temperatures take a little skip back up, but not by much, and the longer-term forecast looking ahead to Friday 19 and Saturday 20 is for more overcast conditions.
