May 23 Free evening safari tour of Los Alcazares urban art
50 new artworks have been added to the mural gallery of the centre of Los Alcázares!
Few visitors to Los Alcázares will have failed to notice that the town is packed with examples of urban art mural paintings, and in fact this is one of the aspects of the built-up area which the Town Hall actively promotes, encouraging the creation of new works which adorn the area rather than merely disfiguring it as simpler graffiti does.
The range of art in the town has recently been widened by the creation of 50 new murals during the urban art festival which was held in the town between 14th and 17th May, and following this burst of creative activity the tourist office is holding one of its regular evening “safari” tours on the tourist train on Saturday 29th May, starting at 20.00 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and lasting into the hours of darkness. Participants are advised to bring along a torch (or make sure that the one on their mobile phone is working!) to see some of the details which are often missed and which will be pointed out by the tour guide along the way.
Registration is free of charge and is available online here.
For more local information contact the tourist offices in Los Alcázares or go to the home page of Los Alcázares Today.
