May 1 to 3 San Javier Air Show 2026
A weekend of spectacular flying and all-round entertainment as huge crowds flock to Santiago de la Ribera!
One of the largest and most popular events in the calendar of the Region of Murcia takes place this year over the long holiday weekend of 1st to 3rd May, when San Javier hosts its air show on the shore of the Mar Menor.
In 2025 the event brought an astonishing 180,000 visitors to the area on the Sunday alone and this year similar numbers are expected as a packed schedule guarantees an airborne spectacular of the very highest quality, with aerobatics teams and other specialists flocking to San Javier from various parts of Europe!
The schedule for the weekend includes the following:
Friday May 1
10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00: Training and practice for various of the formations taking part.
22.30: La Banda de Ases in concert on the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera.
10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 21.00: The Play Zone opens with flight simulators, VR goggles, drone flights and children’s activities among other attractions.
Saturday May 2
10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 21.00: The Play Zone opens.
10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00: More Training and practice.
19.00 to 22.00: SUNSET AIRSHOW!
22.30: La Otra Oreja in concert on the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera, a tribute to La Oreja de Van Gogh.
Sunday May 3
10.00 to 15.00: THE MAIN AIR SHOW OVER THE MAR MENOR
10.00 to 15.00: The Play Zone opens.
All three days
Open-air market stalls selling aeronautics-related memorabilia and other items.
Exhibition of aeroplanes on Paseo Colón and Explanada Barnuevo.
