May 9 Jazz pianist Dayramir González in Águilas
The Jazz Amigos de la Cultura season continues at the Casino of Águilas
The Jazz Amigos de la Cultura society is holding another of its hugely popular jazz events on Saturday 9th May at the Casino of Águilas, where the audience will be entertained by the International Jazz Trio.
The show begins at 20.00 and tickets are on sale online here for 12 euros + costs.
Further information is available by WhatsApp on 669 182847.
Dayramir González has been described as the natural successor in the long line of Cuban jazz pianist legends, from Bebo Valdés through Chucho Valdés and Gonzalo Rubalcaba to the present day, and began his professional career at the tender age of 16 in the Afro-Cubano Diákara band of Oscar Valdés, rapidly gaining recognition at the JoJazz festival in Havana in 2004 and 2005.
After winning Chucho Valdez’s Competition he recorded his first album before being awarded a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, the first Cuban to be granted this privilege. Ever since, he has continued to captivate audiences in both North and South America as well as Europe, while at the same time remaining faithful to his Cuban roots.
