May 31 Beer and tractors fair in El Berro!
An afternoon of fun in the Alhama village of El Berro, in the foothills of Sierra Espuña
A new event appears this year in the fiestas calendar of the village of El Berro, on the lower slopes of the southern side of Sierra Espuña, with the inaugural Beer and Tractors festival!
The program for 31st May includes the following:
17.00: The tractors are welcomed at the church of El Berro (it is not clear whether a Blessing of the Tractors will be performed, or indeed who the patron saint of tractors may be).
17.30: The “"tractorada" sets out, a parade of tractors through the village and on to La Cañá.
18.00: An afternoon of music, prize draws and of course a bar begins!
20.00: The election of the King and Queen of the “Fiestas de La Cañá”.
Midnight: Firecrackers to signal the end of the festivities.
