May 28 TKO Radio roadshow at La Manga Club
The next TKO Radio roadshow will bring fun, music and a full day of live entertainment with family activities and charity fundraising to La Manga Club’s La Quinta
La Quinta at La Manga Club is set to come alive on Wednesday May 28, 2025 with the arrival of the TKO Radio ‘Summer of Fun, Live Radio Roadshow’. Sponsored by
La Manga Life magazine and
La Manga Rent-a-Car, this lively family-friendly event promises a full day of entertainment, music and poolside fun, and is open to all La Manga Club property owners, hotel guests, renters and visitors.
TKO Radio, one of Spain’s longest-running English-language stations and the team behind the Murcia Today news portal, is staging the event to promote the launch of its new 106.5FM frequency along the Costa Cálida.
The newly installed transmitter in
La Unión means that listeners can now enjoy TKO’s mix of music and chat throughout the region in the cars and on their radio devices, as well as online, via mobile or smart devices.
Peter Fisher, owner of TKO Radio, expressed his enthusiasm about expanding the station’s reach. “I am very pleased to be able to extend coverage of TKO Radio to the Region of Murcia. It will give people a greater choice of stations and programmes and I sincerely hope that listeners will tune in and enjoy all that TKO radio has to offer,” he said.
“Mark Pugsley, La Quinta Chairman, Laura Sánchez, General Manager and their team have embraced our roadshow and enthusiastically helped with its hosting, co-ordination and planning. We have everything in place to make it a successful day, so all we need now is for you to come along and have a great time.”
The roadshow will be broadcast live from La Quinta’s poolside area from midday until late, featuring appearances by popular TKO presenters including Rob Charles of ‘Rob Charles in the Afternoon’ and Carla Stone from the lunchtime show ‘Light Lunch’. There will be games, quizzes, raffles, live music, photo opportunities, dancing, a dedicated Kidz Club and a chance for children to meet the TKO Teddy.
Mark Pugsley, Chairman of La Quinta, praised the partnership with TKO Radio and Murcia Today, noting the significance of the event. “I am delighted to be able to partner with Murcia Today and TKO Radio, and I am sure that the roadshow will be a successful, memorable and enjoyable day for all the family. TKO Radio is my go-to station in Spain as their presenters play a fantastic selection of great music.”
“For La Quinta, this is a first,” he added. “Our heated pool with its swim-up bar has never been open to the public. We are optimistic the roadshow will be successful. So this pool party arrangement is something we would like to extend to non-members during the summer months.”
The day also aims to raise money for the
Pablo Ugarte Association against Childhood Cancer. Raffle tickets will be sold during the event by the TKO Teddy, with prizes including a week’s stay in a La Quinta villa, meal vouchers, his and her watches and more. All food and drink profits will also go towards the charity.
Burgers, snacks, drinks and refreshments will be available throughout the day at affordable prices. Visitors can just turn up on the day, but due to expected high demand and multiple events taking place, pre-registration is recommended.
To register and be entered into a prize draw for a gourmet dinner for two at La Quinta’s La Solana restaurant, prepared by award-winning chef Adrián Ros, email
reception@laquintaclub.com or call 0034 968 331 221.
Alongside the radio celebration, La Quinta will also be showcasing a show villa for anyone interested in becoming a member or holidaying at the resort.
Both Peter Fisher and Mark Pugsley agreed that while the Roadshow marks an exciting media expansion, the focus will be firmly on “fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun” for the entire family.
Will you be going along to enjoy the day?
